Legal β UK
Cookie policy
This policy explains how Letsallbuy uses cookies and similar technologies in line with UK PECR and UK GDPR expectations. It is a working draft β have it reviewed by a qualified adviser before high-traffic or regulated use.
1 What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include
localStorage, used here to remember your cookie banner choice.
Essential cookies can be set without consent where they are strictly necessary to provide a service you
have requested. Optional cookies (such as audience measurement) require consent before non-essential scripts
run β we gate those on your choice in the banner and on
window.isLetsallbuyAnalyticsAllowed() for developers.
2 Cookies we use
Names and lifetimes may vary slightly by browser; the purpose is accurate for the current site build.
| Cookie type | Purpose | Examples | How long they last |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential β session | Keeps you signed in. | connect.sid (typical) |
Session (or as set by the server) |
| Essential β preferences | Stores your banner choice (version + whether optional analytics are allowed). | letsallbuy_cookie_prefs in localStorage |
Until you clear site data |
| Optional β analytics | Audience measurement when you choose Accept all. | Third-party provider (document when enabled, e.g. Plausible or GA4) | Per provider |
3 Your choices
Essential only β we set strictly necessary cookies and record that you declined optional cookies. Accept all β additionally allows optional measurement cookies when we enable them in code.
You can change your mind by clearing site data for Letsallbuy or using the manage button in section 2.
4 Managing cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies. See ICO β cookies for guidance. Blocking all cookies may prevent sign-in or other features.
5 Changes to this policy
We may update this page when we change how cookies are used. Material changes may be announced on the site or by email where appropriate.
