Selling on Letsallbuy
Seller information
Everything you need before your first listing: how to get started, what new sellers can list, and how your limits increase as you build trust on the site.
You Your current limits
Start Getting started
- Register and complete your profile under My auctions → Profile — name, email, address, and UK postcode are required before you can list.
- Verify your email from Profile. Unverified accounts have lower listing limits (see below).
- Create a listing from Sell an item — photos, description, start price, end time, and how the buyer will collect or receive the item.
- After the auction ends, use Messages to send an invoice, agree payment, and complete collection or postage. Letsallbuy runs the auction clock only — you and the buyer arrange payment between yourselves.
Trust Verified badge
Sellers who confirm their email address show a blue ✓ Verified badge on listings, their public profile, and in search cards. It tells buyers your contact email has been checked — separate from the gold ★ Trusted seller badge, which requires strong sales and feedback history.
Confirm your email from My auctions → Profile (we send a one-time link).
Limits New seller listing limits
To keep the marketplace safe, new sellers have caps on how many auctions they can run at once and on the combined value of those listings. Limits apply when you create a new listing — relisting an ended auction in place does not use an extra slot.
| Seller level | When it applies | Active listings | Total value* |
|---|---|---|---|
| New account | Email not verified | Up to 5 | Up to £500 |
| Verified email | Email verified, no completed sale yet | Up to 15 | Up to £1,000 |
| Established seller | Email verified and at least one completed sale | Up to 25 | Up to £2,500 |
| Trusted seller | Strong feedback and sales history (Trusted / Top seller badge) | Unlimited | Unlimited |
* Total value is the sum of each active listing’s exposure: the higher of start price and reserve (if you set one). A new listing is checked against your current active total plus its own start/reserve.
How to raise your limits
- Verify your email on Profile to move from “New account” to “Verified email” and show a Verified badge on your listings and seller profile.
- Complete your first successful sale (auction ended with a winning bid that met reserve) to become an established seller.
- Build strong feedback and sales history to earn a Trusted seller badge and remove caps.
When you are signed in, your usage appears at the top of this page and on the Sell form. If you hit a limit, end or withdraw another active listing, or lower start/reserve prices on the new one.
Auctions Running your auction
- Bid increments are set by Letsallbuy on every listing — you cannot choose custom bid steps. See How bidding works for the increment table.
- Anti-snipe: if someone bids in the final window, the end time can extend so bidders have a fair chance — the server clock is the source of truth.
- Describe postage, collection, and dispatch time clearly. For collection orders, the buyer shares a Collection PIN at handover — see How Collection PIN works.
- Use honest photos and descriptions. Prohibited or misleading listings can be removed and may affect your account.
Payment After the sale
Letsallbuy does not process buyer payments or hold funds. Send an invoice from Messages (amount and due date), then agree payment using the methods you offered on the listing — e.g. PayPal, bank transfer, or cash on collection.
Platform fees (when enabled) are disclosed when you sell and on your seller statements. For disputes and site policies, see Disputes, fees & buyer protection.
